FAQ's

Where are you located?

Thirlmere, NSW, 2572

Do you deliver?

Yes your cake can be delivered Wednesday - Sunday from 10am - 2pm (subject to availability). If you need your cake at a specific time or earlier than 10am, I suggest ordering your cake for the day before you need it.

Delivery fees are calculated on how many kilometres that will be travelled to and from the delivery address.

For two and three tier cakes I recommend opting for delivery to ensure your cake arrives in one piece, if something is to go wrong while travelling I am also able to fix it.

How much notice do you need for a cake order?

For all my non-customisable design cakes I require a minimum 3 days notice (subject to availability).

For customisable cakes I require at least 1-2 weeks notice to ensure that I can purchase anything I don't already have on hand needed for your order.

Multiple tier cakes and wedding cakes can be ordered up to 12 months in advance and need minimum 4 weeks notice.

I can't find a cake design that I want on your website. Can you make what I am after?

Of course! On the home page at the very top of the page you will see CUSTOM CAKES ORDER HERE or you can also find the Custom Cakes option in the drop down menu.

Click on either one of these links, it will take you to a page where you can fill out a form that has all the questions needed to create your custom order. Upload a reference/inspiration photo if you have one and submit it.

I will aim to get back to you within 1-2 business days letting you know if there is an availability and your quote.

Can you make this exact picture of this cake I have sent you?

Due to the nature of the creative and cake decorating processes, I do not copy the exact same as other artists work. Reference/inspiration photos are more than welcome but will be used simply as a reference or inspiration, unless it is my own work.

I will always do my best to communicate with you to make sure you will absolutely love your cake, still making what you are after but with a Sweet Neon Hearts spin on it.

Please consider booking a custom cake to be similar to commissioning a piece of artwork. There must be an element of trust for your cake decorator. If my cakes don't fit your desired aesthetic or I feel I am unable to create exactly what you are looking for, I may recommend you to another amazing cake decorator. I only want you to be over the moon with your cake for your special celebration.

Do you offer cakes to cater for dietary requirements?

Unfortunately at this stage Sweet Neon Hearts does not offer Gluten free options.

We do however offer Vegan options which are dairy free.

However this is something that is in the making and may be available in the future.

Do you offer Vegan options?

Yes! We have a few flavours available for our vegan cakes! You can find what flavours are available in the Flavours tab of the menu section.

They do have an additional cost however as the ingredients cost more.

I can't see my question.

Simply scroll down to the bottom of the website and under quick links, click on contact. Send through your question and I will aim to get back to you in 1-2 business days.

Care/Storage

When you receive your cake you may notice the box is cold. This is because your cake is required to be refrigerated.

Buttercream sets really firm in the fridge which also helps while transporting your cake to ensure it holds it shape and stays in place.

I recommend storing your cake back in the refrigerator once you get home or to your venue and only take it out around 1-2 hours before its needed.

Your cake can then sit out for hours if it is room temperature and once finished with it, place it in an airtight container and pop it back in the fridge.

If you are celebrating in the warmer months and you are celebrating outdoors, I recommend only taking your cake out around 30 minutes before its going to be eaten and placing it back in the fridge as soon as you have finished with it so it doesn't melt.

For cakes that have cream cheese, whipped cream or curd, these are best to follow the same guidelines as above only taking them out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before needed and then placing it back in the fridge right away.

If you notice your cake is "sweating" don't be alarmed, this is not it melting. Sometimes cakes will do this as they are brought from one extreme temperature to another. This will not affect the texture or taste of your cake in any shape or form and will eventually disappear.

If you store leftovers correctly in an airtight container back in the fridge they will last up to 3 or 4 days unless you have ordered a mud cake then this will last up to a week.
